Check AvailabilityThe Police Copter is the Mighty Force line's answer to a collection that only works at ground level. It is a rugged police helicopter with realistic sound effects and the line's light-up cab feature, which illuminates the whole cockpit rather than a single bulb behind a lens.
Air support rewrites the rules of a floor-level fleet. A helicopter can be somewhere none of the trucks can reach, arrive first, hover over a scene and leave again — and because it is the only aircraft in the catalogue, it tends to become the piece that resolves whatever the ground vehicles have got themselves into.
The build is the Mighty Force specification: tough enough for the job, designed for the kind of handling that comes with being flown around a room by hand at speed. Two AAA batteries are included, so the lights and sounds work straight out of the box.
A collector card is printed on the back of the packaging, which families who keep the boxes will want to know before the recycling goes out. Ages three and up.
Every truck in this catalogue follows the construction philosophy Tonka has used since 1947: metal in the load-bearing body, sturdy plastic in the detail work, and moving parts engineered to be operated by enthusiastic hands thousands of times. On this model the electronics are part of the design — batteries power the lights and the rotor sounds — but there is still no screen anywhere near it. What wears in becomes character; what wears out is usually the owner, around age fourteen, right before the truck goes into storage for the next generation.
Outdoor play is what these machines are for. After sessions in wet sand or rain, rinse the truck with clean water and towel it dry — that keeps the steel body and axles smooth for decades. Avoid leaving it submerged or outside through winter. For collector-grade display models, an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth keeps decals and paint sharp. The full routine is in our Play & Care Guide.
