Tonka police vehicles
Two machines in the range wear police markings, and neither of them needs pushing. The Mighty Motorized Police Cruiser drives forward under its own power with lights flashing and a siren running, batteries included in the box. The Mighty Force Police Copter brings air support, with realistic sound effects and the line's light-up cab that illuminates the whole cockpit.
Powered vehicles change how a fleet plays. Instead of being the engine behind every movement, the operator becomes the dispatcher: set the cruiser running, send the trucks after it, bring the copter in over the top. Both are rated for ages three and up, and both arrive ready to switch on.
Ground or air
The cruiser is the one that moves on its own, which makes it the better choice for a child who wants something to happen. The copter is the only aircraft in the catalogue, which makes it the piece that can be somewhere no truck can reach. In a collection that already has both, the pursuit writes itself.
Batteries and boxes
The cruiser ships with its three AA cells fitted and the copter with two AAA cells, so neither needs a trip to the shop before first use. The copter also carries a collector card printed on the back of the packaging, which is worth knowing before the recycling goes out.
