Tonka bulldozers and front loaders
Pushing and scooping are different jobs. A bulldozer grades: its blade lifts, drops and locks to shove sand and gravel into place. A front loader moves material: the bucket digs, lifts through a full arc and tips into a waiting bed. The range carries both machines in two builds each, the standard Steel Classics and the double-steel Retro Collector's Edition.
The classic Bulldozer is the cheapest way into a steel Tonka and often the first machine a family buys. The Front Loader is the natural second: one digs, one carries the spoil. The Retro versions do the same work with twice the steel and mid-century decals, which is why so many of them end up on office shelves between sandbox contracts.
Blade or bucket first
If the fleet already has a dump truck, take the loader: the scoop-and-fill loop is the core of construction play. If there is no fleet yet, the dozer stands alone better, because grading roads needs no second machine.
The rest of the job site
The Steam Roller finishes the roads the dozer grades, and the Mighty Crane adds vertical lifting to a flat site. Neither pushes nor scoops, but both slot into the same operation.
